Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the SSC Brain website (sscbrain.co.uk) and all services provided through it. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these terms.

SSC Brain is a trading division of Rocknowe Interiors Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC489276, VAT No. 198478633) with its registered office at Unit 2 Ainslie Street, West Pitkerro Industrial Estate, Broughty Ferry, Dundee, DD5 3RR.

2. Our services

SSC Brain provides AI powered business intelligence services including:

All reports and deliverables are prepared using a combination of AI systems and human expertise. Every report is reviewed by a named analyst before delivery.

3. Placing an order

When you submit a form and complete payment through our website, you are making an offer to purchase a service. Your order is accepted when we send you a confirmation email or begin work on your report, whichever comes first.

All prices are displayed exclusive of VAT. VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%) is added at checkout. You will receive a VAT invoice via email following payment.

4. Payment

Payment is taken at the point of order via Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment must be received in full before work begins.

For Retained Intelligence subscriptions, payment is taken monthly in advance. You may cancel a subscription at any time by emailing hello@sscbrain.co.uk with at least 14 days notice before your next billing date.

5. Delivery

We aim to deliver all reports within the following timescales from receipt of payment and all required information:

Reports are delivered electronically as PDF documents to the email address provided at the time of order. If we require additional information from you to complete a report, delivery timescales begin from the date that information is received.

6. The SSC Brain Guarantee

If your report does not contain at least three insights you were not already aware of, you pay nothing. To claim under this guarantee, email hello@sscbrain.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your report, explaining which insights you believe were already known to you. We will review your claim and, if valid, issue a full refund within 14 working days.

This guarantee applies to AI Visibility Assessments and First Intelligence reports. It does not apply to Retained Intelligence subscriptions or bespoke engagements where the scope is agreed in advance.

7. Your cancellation rights

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided we have not already begun work on your report.

By submitting your order, you acknowledge that we may begin work immediately. If we have already commenced work on your report and you wish to cancel, we may charge a reasonable amount for work already completed.

8. Intellectual property

Upon receipt of full payment, you receive a licence to use the report and its contents for your own internal business purposes. You may share the report within your organisation and with your professional advisors.

You may not resell, redistribute, publish, or make publicly available any report or its contents without our prior written consent. The methodologies, frameworks, and analytical tools used to produce the report remain the intellectual property of Rocknowe Interiors Ltd.

9. Confidentiality

We treat all information you provide as confidential. We will not share your business information, competitor data, or report contents with any third party without your explicit consent.

We may use anonymised, aggregated data from our work to improve our services and methodologies. No individually identifiable business information will be disclosed.

10. Limitation of liability

Our reports provide analysis and recommendations based on publicly available information and AI platform outputs at the time of production. They are intended as business intelligence to inform your decisions, not as professional advice in any regulated field (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise).

While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that AI platforms will continue to produce the same outputs after the date of your report. AI systems change frequently, and a report reflects a point in time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Data protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the processing described in that policy.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at hello@sscbrain.co.uk or call 0800 086 2989. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 working days.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Changes do not apply retrospectively to orders already placed.
